New tourist routes launched in the Kaliningrad region

Within the framework of the international project of the Russia-Lithuania Cross-Border Cooperation Program 2014-2020 "Сommon Heritage of Curonian lagoon: from Extraordinary to Familiar - CROSS-HERITAGE", the partner and curator of the Russian partners of which is Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University (IKBFU), work was completed on the creation of new tourist routes in the Curonian Lagoon.

Partners from Russia (IKBFU, the Museum of the World Ocean and the Curonian Spit National Park) have completed work on the Russian parts of two tourist routes "From Museum to Museum along the River of Time" and "From the Spit to the Continent", which will introduce tourists with new destinations and will allow you to see already familiar places from the other side.

The routes were tested by guides, representatives of the IKBFU and tourist organizations of the Kaliningrad region. The project partner of the Curonian Spit National Park installed 20 information stands along the route. Tourists and residents of the region will meet this novelty in the new tourist season.
At the moment, the connection of the Russian and Lithuanian parts of the cross-border routes is underway. Soon it will be possible to cover the entire Curonian Lagoon and the adjacent territories with the help of new tourist routes.

The main partner of the project is the Kintai Arts Association (Lithuania). The partners are Klaipeda University (Lithuania), Shilut District Administration (Lithuania), IKBFU. I. Kant (Russia), National Park "Curonian Spit" (Russia), Museum of the World Ocean (Russia).
