The project the Lithuania-Russia Cross-Border Cooperation Program 2014–2020 "CROSS-HERITAGE" recognized as the best in creating a cross-border partnership team
We are proud to announce that the project Russia-Lithuania Cross-Border Cooperation Program 2014-2020 “Сommon Heritage of Curonian lagoon: from Extraordinary to Familiar - CROSS-HERITAGE” of which IKBFU is a partner and curator of Russian partners, recognized as the best in creating a cross-border partner team and events that shape interactions between the peoples of the border territory of Russia and Lithuania, adjacent to the Curonian lagoon. The project “CROSS-HERITAGE” is aimed at preserving and popularizing the heritage of the border territories of Russia and Lithuania adjacent to the Curonian lagoon, such as the historical tradition of fishing pennants of the Curonian lagoon, culinary traditions, navigation in the Curonian lagoon, and folklore. Scientific group from the IKBFU I. Kant, including geographers, historians, together with researchers from the University of Klaipeda, the World Ocean Museum and the Curonian Spit National Park, are working on their study of traditions in the Curonian lagoon region and are creating new tourism products to promote a common historical and cultural heritage.

The lead partner of the project is the Kintai Arts Association (Lithuania). Partners are the University of Klaipeda (Lithuania), Administration of the municipality of Šilutė region (Lithuania), IKBFU (Russia), Curonian Spit National Park (Russia), Museum of the World Ocean (Russia).
