The results of the research trip to the Curonian Spit on December 13, 2020
Experts of the project "Ecotour4Natur: Ecotourism as a tool for preserving natural and cultural heritage" organized and conducted a research trip to the area of the village of Rybachy on the Curonian Spit on December 13, 2020. The expedition took place within the framework of the event “Creation of a new tourist route “Geological and geomorphological chronicle of the Baltic Sea””. The main purpose of the trip was to clarify the tracing of the route, as well as to identify specific objects of the excursion display for drawing up an excursion route, including one intended for the independent movement of excursionists. The beginning of the route was tied to a newly created museum object, which is located in the former building of the Vogel Warten Rossiten ornithological station. The route will allow you to get acquainted with the unique landscapes of the Curonian Spit. The project is being implemented under the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Lithuania-Russia 2014-2020. The budget of the project is 299 823,04 EUR, out of which 224 741,04 EUR will be financed by the EU and 45 099,69 EUR will be financed by the RF , the duration – 24 months.
