The concept and design of the exhibition "Feathered world of the Baltic"

Within the framework of the project "Ecotour4Natur: Ecotourism as a tool for preservation natural and cultural heritage" Beneficiary No. 3 Kaliningrad Charitable Foundation for the Preservation and Development of the Curonian Spit National Park is developing the design of the exhibition "Feathered Wanderers of the Baltic." In order to develop its modern popular science concept, an employee of the State Darwin Museum arrived in the Kaliningrad region in October 2020.

N. Mikhailova is the head educational department of GBUK GDM and has extensive experience in exhibition and scientific-methodological activities for over 25 years. Natalia Evgenievna is a co-author of the exposition of the hall "Human-Nature Interaction", the author of a number of thematic exhibitions, excursions, cultural and educational programs and interactive exhibition projects for visitors. She is a finalist of the competition program of the International Festival of Museums # nbsp; "Intermuseum 2016" # nbsp; in the nomination "For the best project on presentation and interpretation of tangible and intangible cultural heritage".
The museum exposition "The Feathered World of the Baltic" will tell about the birds of the Baltic and their migration, as well as about the history of mass ringing of birds (for the first time in the world, birds began to ring in Rossitten at the beginning of the 20th century).

The project is being implemented under the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Lithuania-Russia 2014-2020. The budget of the project is 299 823,04 EUR, out of which 224 741,04 EUR will be financed by the EU and 45 099,69 EUR will be financed by the RF , the duration – 24 months.
