The educational tourist route "The geological and geomorphological record of the Baltic Sea" has been experienced

On June 15, 2021, students of the Department of Tourism Business, Geography and Spatial Planning of the Institute of Economics, Management and Tourism of IKBFU visited the Curonian Spit National Park under the guidance of the project experts. The visit was organized within the LT-RU-2-089 project “Ecotourism as a tool for preserving natural and cultural heritage”.

Alexey Anokhin, the project expert and associated professor of the Institute of Economics, Management and Tourism, told the students about the possibilities of using the geological and geomorphological heritage as a tourist resource, and led them along the hidden paths of the national park.
The project manager, Elena Kropinova, introduced the historical building of the exhibition pavilion of the former ornithological station as a new tourist facility in the village of Rybachiy, and told about the project Ecotour4Natur, within the framework of which the museum "Feathered world of the Baltic" is being created. The new museum will become one of the objects of visit on the way of the new tourist route.
The event was attended by Anna Belova, Director of the Center for Scientific and Technical Information of the Research and Development Department of IKBFU, who told the participants about a scientific component of the international projects being implemented at the University.

The project is being implemented under the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Lithuania-Russia 2014-2020. The budget of the project is 299 823,04 EUR, out of which 224 741,04 EUR will be financed by the EU and 45 099,69 EUR will be financed by the RF , the duration – 24 months.
