Everyone to the exhibition!

In the building of the Institute for the Humanities of the IKBFU, two exhibitions were opened within the framework of the Baltic Odyssey project of May 5, 2022. One exhibition is devoted to the results of archaeological excavations in the territory of the Kaliningrad region, carried out within the framework of the current project and past projects CROSSROADS and CROSSROADS 2.0 of previous cross-border cooperation programs.
The second exhibition is dedicated to the memorial sites of the First World War, located on the border area of the Kaliningrad region and Poland. Both exhibitions, in addition to finds and photos of memorable places and copies of historical documents, also provide information about the archaeological expedition and the expedition to the memorable places of the First World War, organized by the IKBFU within the framework of the "Baltic Odyssey" project.
Edwin Saltzman, head of the archaeological expedition, associate professor, Ph.D.:
“Undoubtedly, the exhibition is very important, necessary and interesting. It acquaints not only students, but also everyone with the history of their native land, with the life of the people who lived here, allows you to imagine how people lived before us on our present land. In addition, a lot of material was accumulated, which simply needed to be presented to the public, and not hidden in storage".
Anna Belova, project manager:
“These two exhibitions will work on a permanent basis, as they are located in the premises of the newly created Museum of Archeology of the IKBFU. I. Kant, and anyone who wants to can get here by contacting us first, since the university has access control. Students and staff of the university can visit the museum continuously"
